Diplo to the Rescue for your Treasure Island Music Festival Nostalgia

Treasure Island Music Festival at Treasure Island on Oct 19, 2013 – 10/10

That echo of “never” signaling the start of “Latch.” Diplo crowd surfing in a hamster ball. Mass twerking on stage. A ridiculous, nonstop, dance party amidst the majestic backdrop of the San Francisco skyline.

You know exactly what I’m talking about if you were lucky enough to get lost in the sick sets put on by Disclosure and Major Lazer at Treasure Island Music Festival this past Saturday. So to help relive this experience and alleviate any TIMF nostalgia, here’s Diplo’s perfect, godsend, BBCR1xtra mix. For those battling major Treasure Island post-fomo, this is the next best thing.

He showcases some of the hottest hits right now, baked in with a few old jams, and tops it off with some of my favorites & recent obsessions. TIMF or no TIMF, check it. It won’t disappoint.

“It’s for your drive time. Late night Saturday into the morning […] This is Diplo & friends. Tonight it’s Diplo. No friends. No new friends. No old friends. It’s no…damn friends at all. It’s just me by myself. Two hours of Diplo. Deal with it.”

While you’re at it, check out some of the full tracks included in the mix from rising DJs/artists (Flume, Disclosure, Sophie, AlunaGeorge), also found all over my Spotify & Soundcloud these days:
